Nate gets involved with Catherine Mason, a confident woman in her late 30s. She used to be a model and is now a Upper East Side wife. The episode also features 18-year-old Marcus Beaton, a British man with a royal upbringing, and Sebastian Harris, a 40-year-old renowned author.
Blair and Chuck back together? Year, right. In [an] Hamptons-set party scene [... they talk] about the love that cannot be. The two will, however, resume their usual bickering: "There's going to be a lot of insults and evil plans."
In the season premiere, the kids go to the Hamptons, Serena and Dan reconsider their breakup and Blair uses a new guy to make Chuck jealous. [...] Inside sources are spilling on the latest romantic entanglements on Gossip Girl's Upper East Side, including news that the show's original golden couple, Nate and Blair, aren't reconciling any time soon-thanks to a certain new cougar who's ready to pounce. This pretty (older) kitty is none other than Mädchen Amick, who, according to CW insiders, will appear in the season premiere on Sept. 1 and is expected to hang around for four or five episodes. Word is, Mädchen is heavily involved in Nate's storylines and also has "a surprising connection to another new character on the show."
